Our Paddleboarding Services with Paddle On of Williamsburg offer multiple opportunities for fun, relaxation and fitness on the water. No matter which Paddleboarding service you sign up for, you will leave  the water loving paddleboarding!! The following is a list of Paddleboarding services that Paddle On of Williamsburg offers and a brief description.

Intro to SUP Lessons

Intro to SUP (stand up paddleboarding) lessons

Paddleboard Lessons are 1 1/2 hours and are set up to educate you on paddleboard equipment and use, proper stance , proper paddling technique and water safety. We start with a 20 minute land instruction on the dock, then launch for water instruction, practice and FUN!!!    

Lesson – $75.00 per person / Private One on One Lesson – $80.00 per person

Paddle Yoga –

Paddle Yoga ( also shown as SUP Yoga)  is designed for all levels of yoga and paddling. We offer a few different classes to choose from.

Sunset SUP Yoga & Meditation – Sunday’s 6:30-sunset.
This class is geared towards the experienced paddler. 

Practicing yoga and meditation on a SUP brings a whole new perspective to being fully present in the moment. Yoga postures create a new challenge while floating, requiring full awareness, acceptance of Mother Nature’s mood and of course a sense of humor! Cobra pose takes on a new meaning as the sun bathes your face and illuminates your soul, downward dog gives you a whole other view from your paddleboard, and mountain pose allows you to stand on water as the sun awakens the peace from within. As you Relax in Savasana, the sounds of the birds and the fish jumping about allows you to sink into a natural state of bliss.
We will launch from the William & Mary Boathouse dock located in the Chickahominy Riverfront Park and take a short paddle to our floating studio where we will anchor our boards and connect with nature. After savasana we will paddle back to the dock.
All levels of yoga are welcome, experience in paddleboarding required.

SUP Strength Yoga with Bands – Wednesday’s 6:30-8pm

Better yourself with this combo class of Yoga and Fitness, a combination of paddling, movement, asanas, balance, and breath combined with Pilates and cardio intervals – with BANDS!!! We will start with a short reminder of the basics of paddling and then take a short distance paddle to our floating studio where we will anchor our boards for our fun but challenging SUP Strength Yoga class using bands, ending with a peaceful savasana before we take our paddle back to the floating dock as the sun goes down.
You will finish your day feeling rejuvenated and empowered!!!! Paddling experienced is recommended.

                                 All Levels SUP Yoga – Friday’s and Saturday’s 9-10:45am

This is where you start your paddle yoga practice! Whether your a beginner yogi, experienced yogi, beginner paddleboarder, experienced paddleboarder or have never done either. We will give you a brief intro to paddling, get you ready with some warm up stretches and then head onto the water to our peaceful and calm spot to anchor our boards. We will guide you slowly and mindfully through each pose allowing you to feel and adjust as you go.
SUP Yoga allows you to let go, connect to nature and find peace and balance within.
After each class we always leave sometime to play with different poses, take pictures or just float!!!
This class is for all levels, but will guide towards the modifications and can be challenged for experienced.

Paddle Fitness

Intro to Paddle Fit and Paddle Fit –

Intro to Paddle Fit – One Sunday a month 8:30-10am

This is where you start before you take a Paddle Fit Class.
Intro to Paddle Fit will give you the basics of Paddleboarding that will teach you proper stance, proper technique with a full body, low-impact workout that will challenge every muscle, improve balance and stability, enhance your cardio fitness, and build a strong core!!
This is a mini lesson and paddle fit in one!!
This Intro to paddle fit class is still challenging because we paddle on the James River at Jamestown Beach and the conditions are always changing – it could be flat when we start out and turn choppy by the time we finish. This is a full body workout and takes a lot of upper body strength.
After taking an Intro to Paddle Fit Class you can move onto the Paddle Fit Class as well as any of the other classes that require experience paddleboarding, as long as you have been given the Ok to do that.

Paddle Fit – Sunday’s 8:30-9:45am  and Tuesday’s 6:30-7:45pm

Paddle Fit Class is a fast paced, challenging paddle on James River with Tabata style exercises done while on the paddleboard.
We start with a warm up on land and then you will get your board and equipment set up and launch onto the water. You never know what Mother Nature will give us that day so you
could be on calm water or choppy water, we take the challenge and Paddle On!!
It is recommended that you be a strong swimmer, strong paddler and not afraid to get in the water.

SUP & SIP – a Pilates Inspired class with a Sunset Happy Hour

SUP & SIP – Certain Friday’s 6:30-8pm

Two of the best core workouts that go great together- SUP Pilates!

Pilates emphasizes proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and concentration on smooth, flowing movements. Add the paddleboard as your mat, and now this unpredictable, changing surface, helps you activate more stabilizer muscles than you would in a studio. Newcomers to Pilates will automatically feel their core muscles being turned on, and if you have been practicing for a while this changing surface adds a new challenging level to the exercises. We’ll even add in the paddle as a prop for extra resistance.

Watch eagles fly overhead, feel the sun on your skin, and breathe
in fresh air. This dynamic workout will improve balance, strength and concentration. No previous Pilates experience necessary, just a sense of fun and adventure!
We will end the class back at the dock to watch the Sunset and enjoy refreshing drinks and snacks. ( bring your own)

Sunset Social Paddle

Sunset Social Paddle – Thursday’s 6:45-sunset

Social Paddle is a meetup for those that have experience paddleboarding. We will meet at different locations weekly and explore the waterways while observing birds, native plants and other wildlife.
As the sun starts to set we will head back to our launch area to enjoy the sunset and goodies ( bring your own goodies)

Ability to swim is mandatory

Full Moon Paddle with Sound Sound Bath

The Full Moon is a celebrated event throughout the world with many gatherings of people who appreciate the brilliance of the moon when it shines its brightest each month. Our Themed Full Moon Paddle has quickly become a truly special and unique way to experience the Water and Moon working together providing an awesome experience! Each Full Moon Paddle will have its own theme based on the month. This event could last up to 2.5 hours and the times will vary based on the sunset and the moonrise. A Full Moon Paddle will incorporate Paddling, meditation, drumming, chanting and singing bowls and a special treat for the theme. You don’t want to miss out on these incredible Full Moon Events. The price includes board, paddle, leash, pfd, anchor, light for board and use of a drum. If you have your own drum that you would like to bring you are welcome to do so!! We love all drums!!

Paddle Yoga Teacher Training – April 30th – May 2nd 2021

Pineapple Paddling is teaming up again with Paddle On of Williamsburg to offer another SUP Yoga Teacher Training!! Come out for an amazingly fun and informative 3 day training and immerse yourself in nature and channel the power of the water as you enhance your paddle, yoga and teaching expertise. During our training together you will learn the basics of Stand Up Paddleboarding, water safety, paddleboard equipment, how to guide a SUP yoga class, how to create a SUP yoga studio and how to create a successful SUP yoga business.
At the completion of this training you will be certified as a SUP Yoga Teacher AND World Paddle Association Level 1 Instructor.
All students will receive 25 Yoga Alliance continuing education credits upon completion of this course.
*Have at least their 200RYT ( or be working towards it). Students who are working towards their 200 RYT may participate in the weekend of the training but will not receive official certification until their 200 hours is complete.
*CPR and First Aid Certified
*Experienced and competent swimmer
